چکیده

Foot ulcers are one of the main complications in diabetes mellitus, with a 15% life time risk in all diabetic patients. The problem and features are infection, ulceration, or gangrene. Neuropathy, poor circulation, and susceptibility to infection are the three major contributors to the development of diabetic foot; which when present, foot deformities or minor trauma can readily lead to ulceration and infection. Not all diabetic foots are preventable, but appropriate preventive measures can dramatically reduce their occurrences. Patients with diabetes display aberrant angiogenesis in various organs, with insufficient activity occurring in impaired wound healing including ulcers. Limited penetration of new blood vessels into the wound would restrict entry of inflammatory cells. VEGF is produced by keratinocytes that, together with macrophages, represent the most important source of this growth factor during normal wound healing. Nanotechnology, not only is widely used in industry, but also has been extensively explored for possible applications in medicine. Angiogenesis induced with the peptideDNA nanoparticles, gene delivery by using a matrix-based approach in which peptideDNA nanoparticles were formed with peptides that comprised a minimal-length lysine hexamer domain for initial DNA binding and a pair of cysteine residues for stabilization of the nanoparticle by disulfide crosslinking is helpful in induction of angiogenesis in delayed diabetic wound healing. Side effects of the production, manipulation and use of nanoparticles, and nanosafety has become a priority for application on human beings .

Hydrogen sulfide improves vessel formation of the ischemic adductor muscle and wound healing in diabetic db/db mice

Objective(s): It has been demonstrated that hydrogen sulfide plays a vital role in physiological and pathological processes such as regulating inflammation, oxidative stress, and vessel relaxation. The aim of the study was to explore the effect of hydrogen sulfide on angiogenesis in the ischemic adductor muscles of type 2 diabetic db/db mice and ischemic diabetic wound...

Estrogen Accelerates Wound Angiogenesis In Rats

Background and Objective: Angiogenesis is a complex program of several steps and it is tightly regulated by pro- and anti-angiogenic factors. Angiogenesis is one of the key elements in cutaneous wound healing and skin cancers. Estrogen seems to have positive modulating effect on cutaneous wound healing and this effect may be explained by its angiogenic properties. This study aims to investig...

مطالعه اثر عصاره آبی ریشه گیاه جغجغه (Prosopis farcta) بر التیام زخم‌های دیابتی در موش‌های صحرایی دیابتی

Background and Aim: Wound healing is a complex process which is divided into four overlapping phases: heamostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. In diabetic patients, progression of healing takes longer and thus using new medication to accelerate it is required. It is expected that Prosopis farcta which has antibacterial, antidiabetic and antiinflammation effects will facilitate ...

Diabetic Delayed Wound Healing and the Role of Silver Nanoparticles

Diabetes mellitus is most common disease of the altered glucose homeostasis. Diabetics have impaired wound healing and impaired formation of coronary collaterals. The abnormal apoptosis or angiogenesis may cause many of the clinical manifestations of diabetes. Silver has been known to have effective bactericidal properties for centuries. Nowadays, silver-based topical dressings have been widely...
